The next chapter has just begun in the 64-year story of the OMEGA Seamaster 300 with three new model variations that are thinner, yet more technical, and are super rich in Seamaster heritage. These 2021 OMEGA Seamaster 300 watches harken back to the first ever professional OMEGA dive watch – that’s quite a predecessor to pay a loving tribute to.
Available in stainless steel or OMEGA’s exclusive Bronze Gold, the 2021 Seamaster 300 measures 41mm in diameter combined with a restrained thickness of 13.85mm and a water resistance rating that holds true to the collection’s name: 300 meters. Bronze Gold was specially developed to produce an aesthetic that carries the likeable hues and texture of bronze, while allowing for it to be worn with direct contact on the skin. The entire case and buckle are all crafted from this material that contains 37.5% gold along with a touch of palladium and silver. The resulting color OMEGA fans will be able to classify somewhere between OMEGA’s 18K Moonshine and 18K Sedna gold.
While the dial, case and bracelet designs are all heavily inspired by the Seamaster 300 collection’s 1950s original, on the inside we find the state-of-the-art Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8912. The Master Chronometer designation refers to an OMEGA timepiece that is exceptionally magnetic resistant, accurate, and is thoroughly tested by a METAS-certified quality control procedure that is like no other in the watch industry.
For now, all we will say is that any OMEGA Master Chronometer watch ranks among the most highly engineered among all OMEGA watches on sale – and, despite its proudly vintage looks, the Seamaster 300 is a most welcome addition to this growing family of super capable OMEGA timepieces.
