What more do you need to know about the fan appeal of a brand — and watch — than the fact that enthusiasts around the globe are eagerly seeking the first glimpses of the latest and greatest releases? This is precisely how it is with Omega and its Speedmaster Moonwatch collection, a series of watches celebrated the world over for its historic role in the moon landing, and various space missions, as well as its presence in countless movies as much as on the wrists of seasoned watch lovers.
First spotted on the wrist of Daniel Craig, a crispy white dial Omega Moonwatch makes its debut.
As such, fans of the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch were quick to spot Daniel Craig rocking a new, as-yet-unreleased model in November 2023. Peaking out from under his cuff was this Moonwatch with a snow-white dial and a red Speedmaster signature at around the 12 o’clock position. The watch community was quick to zoom in on the picture — ignoring the iconic figure of Omega’s friend-of-the-brand Craig — to discover a white dial with large, black, applied hour markers, matte black hands, and even a blackened Omega logo.
The high-contrast presentation is a true Moonwatch trademark, albeit in its inverse, white-over-black form. Our eyes have all but got used to that, but a white base with black markers adds a fresh, dare we say, sporty look to this classic.
Powered by the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861, the latest and most advanced variation of the legendary Calibre 321, the 42 mm-wide Speedmaster Moonwatch features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal front, a see-through caseback, and a beautifully made, vintage-inspired bracelet in steel. If it made your list, you’ll want to know that it is reference 310.30.42.50.04.001.
