The watch for the design connoisseur and the materials scientist.
The Rado True Square watch collection is characterised by its rather unique blend of a naturally beautiful square case and the use of high-tech man-made materials, especially scratchproof ceramic and lightweight titanium. The Rado True Square Formafantasma, one of the coolest editions to date, was recently launched on the market – the result of Rado’s collaboration with the award-winning Italian-Dutch design duo.
Smooth, light and super comfortable: the cornerstones of a true Rado watch are all present, mixed up by the duo’s sixth sense for creating a unique atmosphere. Inspired by so-called “half hunter” style pocket watches of a bygone era, the Rado True Square Formafantasma reveals the dial and its centre-mounted hands through a small aperture cut into a front lid that safeguards the delicate dial and mechanism within. The front cover is crafted from light grey high-tech ceramic that is decorated with a refined, vertically brushed surface.
The resulting impression, even from afar, is that of a watch of “pure design”, something that is unlike any other out there today. With a beautifully wearable and elegant size of 38 by 44.2 millimetres and with a slender case thickness of just 10.4 millimetres, the Rado True Square Formafantasma is an exercise not only in watch design, but everyday wearability as well. A matching scratchproof ceramic bracelet and anti-allergenic titanium folding clasp complete this pretty picture.
The price of this extraordinary timepiece is 2520 €. For more information, visit rado.com.
