Teresa Gomes is a Portuguese wine expert who has inspired nearly 17,000 people to enjoy Portuguese wines since 2004. Originally falling into the wine world by chance, she completed sommelier training and specialized wine courses in Portugal and the US.
Gomes makes wine accessible and exciting for beginners to connoisseurs through hosting over 900 wine courses and tastings. In 2017, she opened The Wine Flat Lisbon, an intimate space dedicated to Portuguese wines that became a top tourist experience.
Honored as Sommelier of the Year in 2017, Gomes was inaugurated into the prestigious Port Wine Brotherhood. In 2021, she began a private online course series about Portuguese wines.
