The Miramonti Boutique Hotel
High up in the Italian hillside, overlooking the city of Merano, lies a building clad in natural materials, accentuated with floor-to-ceiling windows. This hotel is no ordinary getaway destination – it’s so much more. Come with us and explore The Miramonti Boutique Hotel.
The Miramonti Boutique Hotel Avelengo was conceptualised by owners Carmen Kruselburger Alber and Klaus Alber. Wanting to create a sanctuary that helped guests connect to nature while still providing luxury, it seemed natural that this resort be placed in the Dolomites. Situated 1230 metres above sea level and with spectacular views, this remote location helps people escape from the day-to-day stresses of life and find solace.
The Miramonti Boutique Hotel has 44 individually designed rooms and suites, ranging from comfortable Explorer Rooms to the more spacious Owner’s Loft. With 5 different categories of rooms and a variation of facilities within each one, you can hand-pick your preferred room according to your needs and preferences. One thing that is constant throughout all the rooms is the understated luxury. Preferring modern, sleek design, these rooms offer a more tranquil space compared to some other period properties in the area.
The Miramonti Boutique Hotel is also renowned for its fantastic cuisine. Offering 3 different restaurants, there is something for everyone. The Panorama Restaurant, named such thanks to the stunning view over the Dolomites through the curved windows, focuses on “slow food” and creates feasts from locally sourced produce and thoughtful preparation. In The Classic, you’ll be hosted by head chef Massimo Geromel whose menu has many vegetarian and vegan options. The Miramonti Stube is a quirky take on a traditional café and serves the most fantastically authentic South Tyrolean cuisine.
But the one thing that really sets The Miramonti apart from the rest is the spa. With their company ethos to help connect people to nature, it’s no surprise that there is a saltwater infinity pool overlooking the mountains, a Nordic style forest sauna and even forest-themed therapies to help you relax and connect. There is also a Japanese Onsen pool, a fully equipped gym and a yoga studio.
The day spa offers a whole host of different treatments, from hot stone therapy to a full-body wrap. Of course, if your idea of relaxing is burning off some adrenaline on the slopes, don’t fear, The Miramonti is fully equipped for skiers, offering ski storage and ski pass sales through their concierge.
So, if you are searching for that hideaway in the clouds that promises to help you reconnect in an uncomplicated but luxurious setting, then The Miramonti is made for you. From the curved panoramic views of the Panorama Restaurant to the vista from the infinity pool, you’ll be lost for words.
