A new chapter in the fascinating James Bond saga hits the screens, accompanied by an edition of OMEGA's Seamaster that combines vintage design with performance excellence and a Master Chronometer certification.
The marriage between the world's most famous secret agent, played in “No Time to Die” by Daniel Craig, and OMEGA now seems stainless – but you won't find steel in this new version of the OMEGA Seamaster. The Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition displays a design so retro, yet includes a modern heart: you'll find Grade 2 titanium in both the 42 mm case and the Milanese mesh bracelet that also features a micro-adjustment clasp.
OMEGA and Craig himself worked jointly on the development of this timepiece. They agreed that the key to its presence lies in its lightness on the wrist and its classic design, which echoes the military watches from World War II, unexpectedly hiding such a modern interior. The tropicalized aluminium dial reproduces the lived-in look of vintage watches, accompanied by indicators and numerals covered in a layer of amber-coloured Superluminova. These elements are repeated in the external unidirectional movement bezel, also in aluminium.
The “heart” of this fascinating timepiece is the OMEGA Caliber 8806, Master Chronometer certified, which aligns this watch with the highest standards of Swiss precision. In addition, its mechanism incorporates the reduced-friction Coaxial escapement that distinguishes OMEGA watches and withstands magnetic fields of as much as 15,000 gausses.
The screw-down case-back, which incorporates a NAIAD LOCK closure that keeps the lettering perfectly aligned with the case, carries military codes tailored to an undercover agent like Mr Bond, and most importantly, gives this excellent edition of the Seamaster a water resistance of 300 meters. Finally, the sapphire crystal glass also has a new design, making this version slightly thinner.
This fascinating new timepiece is an integral part of OMEGA's Seamaster collection and is available with either a Milanese mesh bracelet or a NATO strap in matching colours. You will find it in a special box with a personalized watch bag, backed by OMEGA's 5-year warranty.
The price of the watch is 9.000€. For more information, visit omegawatches.com.
