Constellation has been a defining component of the OMEGA ethos for almost seven decades. Introduced in 1952, the Constellation collection received its current characteristic look in 1982 — tirelessly fine-tuned ever since, but never completely transformed. 2020 sees the fifth major generation of the OMEGA Constellation Gents’ Collection receive notable upgrades in proportions and design.

Aiming to meet the requirements and taste of a wide range of customers, the new Constellation is available in as many as twenty-six different variations sized between 36 and 39 millimeters in diameter. Steel, two-tone, yellow gold and Sedna gold — OMEGA’s proprietary rose gold alloy — have all made their way into the palette of the latest Constellation references.

A true classic through and through, the design of the Constellation sees minor, albeit notable upgrades for a more streamlined aesthetic and higher levels of refinement. The case, bezel and the four signature “claws” have all become slimmer and more nuanced.
A closer look reveals the addition of a polished bevel that runs along the profile of the case from the tip of one lug all the way to the other — reminiscent of the trademark polished edge found on Speedmaster and Seamaster models of the brand.

The redesigned alpha-style hands are driven by the OMEGA Master Co-Axial 8800 caliber that boasts anti-magnetic properties and an extended 55-hour power reserve. The OMEGA icon for the sharp-dressed individual just got sleeker.
